 Hi,
thank you for the demonstration of changing the wristband. Rarely in my life I wore a watch, therefore I did no longer know the springbars. You remembered me - thank you and thank you for the link to the springbar tool. I have never succeeded in changing such small spare parts without a tool.

I think Pebble really looks right and better with your new strap, but the watch seems even the heavier than before and as a modern watch.


I agree with last comments in that:
- Leather really is better against sweat.

- Galaxy Gears is no Smartphone, so what the hell am I to do with a strap which urges me to drag my big smartphone out of its protecting cases and cushions?
- Pebble and Iconbit Callisto are ugly, but Samsung Galaxy Gear and Google Gems, so Apple wrist watch, are an amazing experience into future dreams and reality at one sight.

I bought Iconbit Callisto 100  and 3G to check mails, answer calls, write notes, check webpages, open pdfs and shoot images of important data by camera.

Now my phone is protected, because I carry it as a jewel inside of protectors. All the actions necessary outside, such as fast typing new phone numbers, names, addresses call accepting, banking account checks, scanning codes and converting files I can do now with my phone watch.
That's great.

  At Android-x86 , porting Android to x86 PC's, various source codes and links to Google Code pages are as interestingly discussed as the SDK and NDK download packages. Installations from a virtual box via the OS, executable from USB Stick or from CD with Android 0.1 - 0.3 Live let us choose the diplayed size freely.  Inspired by GSMARENA, (my favorite source of matter, when I am interested in a certain phone), I am going to compare my old phones by pixel resolutions and images for an individual point of sight. Anyone individual point of sight this may seem, because of all the numbers of pixels, the resolutions, the perspectives, the objectives, the angles of sight and these of the lenses, the distance to the objects and finally, because of all the proportions of everything that matters for relevant images; but these will count for me as well.

 The usual color charts and everything else relating to the quality proof of copied documents I already know. But shooting photos without a traditional scanner, scanning only one-dimensional, the reality of light outdoors, in general, turns every comparison into a crisscross of units, emotional impressions and confronts with my small skills. Images don't only hide the distance taken by the photographer for shooting.

 Following there are two images, taken with the SHG-900i, at a resolution of 1280x960px the first - and the double-folded number of pixels, 2560x1920px the second - both illustrated as 1:1 (100%) and shot from the same distance.

Both images can be zoomed equally, but the second image consists of a higher number of pixels and displayed at a wider angle of resolution it shows darker colors and a less differentiated structure of grasses and wall.

Huawei Ideos S 7 ROM Update 2.1 Eclair to 2.2.2 Froyo (radio 2.6.32 to 2.6.32.9-ideos)

 Depending on my previously bought ROM and free RAM of 169 MB, I only lost 31 MB by the update from Eclair 2.1 to Froyo 2.2.2. But the android browser plays flash files (.swf) now and half of the memory apps need is installed on sd card (appstosd). Adobe Flash Player 11 is loaded smoothly in the background and videos need no buffering time. The name IDEOS appears on screen during the start-up for the duration of one minute - instead of the letters "Huawei S 7" bound to Android 2.1 as I had received the device. Several features of HTC's ROM's were being deleted during the implementation of the new one.

 Although the variety of available ROMs is getting widened, choosing one you like needn't be easy. I had downloaded the Indonesian full sized package, inspite of worrying about the reduction of RAM. Huawei Ideos s7 device automatically installs the right clock work module and radio definitions via the installation of the sd card - proposed you have added all the necessary data before. In Germany, Ideos S7 is sold with Android Eclair 2.1, fitted with the German and English system languages only. Its radio definition 2.6.32 instead of the usual one for Eclair, namely 2.6.29, won't matter, but Eclair itself does. Adobe Flash 10 for Android 2.1 devices required arm version 6, 7 or 9 once, but video playback featured a stressing long buffering time by this software configuration - distracting from watching the finally downloaded videos later.

 If you buy the device in Germany at the time, resetting the software to factory default will not re-install Froyo as sold by manufacturer Huawei Inc.. As I bought Ideos S7 here, the installed radio file was named "2.6.32" and the model no.: "Android 2.1".posted from Bloggeroid

Huawei Ideos S 7 Kernel/ROM Update/Upgrade

Here the kernel v. 2.6.32 of Android Froyo may be downloaded, its ca. 64 MB size added to the ROM and the Kernel versions are then uplisted there. Even, if the Kernel upgrade from 2.6.29 to 2.6.32 were possible without a complete ROM Froyo, flashed before, the RAM memory will be remarkably reduced, running an upgraded kernel.

Android forums are filled in with posts about the disappointing small RAM, left on updated Huawei tablets and phones.

Flashing the ROM version Android 2.1 with ROM 2.2, or higher, adds small data packages to the ROM, but data of the first ROM won't be deleted thereby.

China Mobile Star C5000 Wifi TV YouTube Video Reviews

 I have been told that China Phones could neither be repaired nor were they known well enough to not face too many problems dealing with them. Every search engine contradicts by millions of web addresses with verbal and video reviews, blog articles and downloads for each model. Especially recommendable, qualified reviews with Roman letters and vocabulary there are.
 I have bought this phone several weeks ago to explore the 12 MP camera mainly. Sold it is commonly as fitted with a 2 MP camera, but this,indeed, consists of a 12 MP enabling lens. From then on I was reading articles about digital cameras, digital imaging, video recording, megapixels and the likes, but yet I am not more skilled in photography. My Mobile Star C5000 definitely shows neither MPEG motion quality nor JVT (Joint Video Team's H.264, MPEG-4 formats) nor features of the JCT-VC inventures for playing videos. Neither YouTube Channels, AOL, MSN nor Google Videos can be watched, nor DVD nor Blu-ray discs edited.

 But Mobile Star C5000 enables video recording impressively instead: The file size may be limited in the settings, but can grow unlimitedly, the less the recording time is possible with limitless time frames. Whether with or without audio recording, the formats set to H.263 or MPEG-4 differentiate the quality of this java phone. The Anti-flicker effect can be put to 50 Hz and 60 Hz optionally, therefore PAL, SECAM and NTSC recording is basically enabled. Files formatted in .gp and .ggp can be watched on external TV devices via the TV-Out port of the phone. Analog TV may be recorded internally and saved to the storage cards. Radio tuning is recorded accordingly and may be stored as well - securely and digitally or on the phone storage of eight Gigabytes.

Smartphones, available in Chinese warehouses, are commonly called China Phones at the time. Ordered directly in China, sometimes they are delivered with Asian ROMs. The Android,  Windows, Apple and Symbian platforms then are fitted with Chinese, Malaysian, Polynesian gadgets and apps, but will be worth their price. Flashing another ROM reduces the  internal memory down to zero Megabytes. Even the the 256 MB RAM of my HD 7 is too small sized for my disgust. The gadgets needn't matter, but averagely two or three gadgets are written with Asian fonts, many of them implemented in the ROM and using RAM memory. Inspite of this, I am enjoying these Chinese devices, technical knowledge, technics, electronics and the Chinese customer service very much. My HD7 had been branded by Vodafone and HTC before it went for sale refurbished and fitted with a next one-year-warranty without the brandings.

 At the moment it is yet waiting for repair: the starter cable has torn into two parts - no longer connected with the motherboard. After I had used it for more than three hours outside, during heavy rain falls, Android did no longer start. I screwed its coat off, but unfortunately tore the micro starter cable into two pieces. Yet I am missing this phone working very much.

 The HD 7th's best features maybe are, for example, beneath its affordable price, its screen size with 4.3'',  the quality of video recording, its rear camera with 5 Megapixels, front camera with 3.2 Megapixels, automatic lightning and zooming, the color depth.of the images and last, not least, how well this micro mobile computer works at all sights.

 The precision, speed, data transfer rate, colors and, last not least the political, economical and social meaning of these communication means in principle and across the entire universe is impressing and proves the electronic revolution of all centuries. The prizes, according to the rising demand of computer electronics cause feelings of real grace in me, because slowly, but securely I am the proud owner of a growing number of such electronic toys.

 For everyone, who has bought C5000 just as me - there is a firmware update and download link for purchase of $2.99 any, in no way described firmware update. Bored as me with the old Java firmware - perhaps this will help. Only that we are to buy a black box, because the seller does not tell anything about the update content.
 I bought C5000 because of the 12 MP Camera Lense. For real, its camera and camcorder programs provide with resolutions for images from 160x120Pixels, 640x480, 1280x960 up to 1600x1200Pixel resolution. And personal video recording is possible with 1000Pixels, up to 3000 Pixels and with unlimited storage for the length of recording.

 My dog takes me for ver curious yet, recording everyone of her steps daily.

Android ARM Flash Player with HTC HD 7 Download

 Interested in the download link for the Android Flash Player 10? These download files are limited for function in armv6 processors only, but if you install them on phones with armv5 hardware, you will need between 8MB and 13 MB free internal storage and the same amount on an sd card. All flash videos online can be played then, but more than 512MB RAM free internal memory are recommendable, because no additional program can start any more. Therefore all that matters depends on the RAM.

 For enjoying mobile browsing the physical smartphone processor could matter, but doesn't.  These processors do exist as objective features,  but most modern phones miss them and the average people - just as me - prefer arm versions 5 and 6, because they are sold at affordable prices. These versions do work very well and show all available videos on the internet. So I am no longer bothered with messages as "Please install Adobe Flash Player, ... your flash player must be updated for viewing this video, ... and you don't have installed the right version of flash player on your phone, ... please go to this download page: ... ."?

For two weeks, my already used Fujitsu Lifebook S Inverter Display was travelling from California to Berlin. As my old inverter display is broken and replacement parts for this notebook model are no longer produced I had been searching for an already used part, finally on Ebay, offered for sale by Tech Exchange Services in Rancho Cucamonga. The replacement itself took one hour, although I had saved time, if I had had disassembled it completely.  Now it is working properly again.

If it isn't yet recognized by your device, it may be necessary to open one of the Flash BIOS ISO image .zip files after their download and to move the single, unzipped files to cd, disk or to input the directory path to the .BUP file into the OS_System/MS DOS. To install both ISO files (BIOS and FUJ02B1) should activate the FUJ02B1 driver and won't leave an unknown device.

ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Series in HP Compaq nc6000 without AMD Athlon

My ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Series graphic card had run optimally with an Intel Pentium IV CPU and nVidia graphic driver with neither a Ge/NForce processor nor graphic card.

After an ATI Controller installation via the HP Compaq nc6000 driver download page for WinXPProf (look up the link of my latest posts) white frames around several start up symbols and basically long buffering of YouTube videos hindered me from enjoying HP Compaq nc6000 videos as before. De-installation of the ATI Controller and re-installation of a common ATI Radeo driver has not yet brought back the video quality of the former nVidia driver, but the common one is compatible with all device components as well - opposited the nVidia driver was corrupted after deinstallation of the ATI Controller of any series.

This ATI driver, catalyst and controller download did not show white frames on my screen, but videos were played only with - partly very long lasting - interruptions and buffering. In contrast, that VGA Driver ATI.zip file on Cnet.com hadn't been recognized by WinXPProf.

Audio Driver Incompability

Conexant audio driver had had destroyed every audio and video driver installation ( the ATI video controller as well) - system recovery was impossible, but reformatting the whole hard disk was successful. My HP Compaq nc6000 is running better than before.

Personal Events and Failures

My latest laptop, HP Compaq nc6000 is awaiting a new system installation, due to overclocking. Agere Systems AC'97 Modem driver (980kb) reported an installation failure, then I downloaded Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio Driver EQ (316kb and 960kb, both released at March 31, 2005) and installed these three drivers/updates. Meanwhile, ADI Soundmax Audio Driver was activated automatically, but all installations were successful finally. After a system restart, defragmentation and registry cleaning everything seemed perfect.

But while MS Windows Scan Disk was executing, the screen suddenly splashed and three penetrating sirens were yelling - therefore I forced the system shut down by the switch off button. The boot process is to be as follows: ROM BIOS executes the logo, splash screen, MSWindows logo, but now the Welcome to Windows log in screen is no longer displayed. Neither safe mode nor network access mode can start up now, although HP's troubleshooting pages suggest that the hard disk is not destroyed yet.

Now I have removed the last screw. One battery, CPU and CMOS had caused strong traces of oxidization on the rear of the keyboard. For two and half a year I had used it ca. 18 hours daily.

As my Aspire One zg5 AOD150 does no longer start up successfully, I urgently needed a substitute, and I discovered a big deal at Amazon.de for 150€. Proud owner of a real HP Business Notebook, Compaq nc6000, 1.4GH Intel Pentium M, Intel Centrino inside,  30GB hard disk, French keyboard, Win XP/Pro, I discovered on HP's Sites the warranty of s/n, p/n and model identity late: Expired since 2000-01-23, but I am going to explore my refurbished laptop happily inspite of its age.  MS Updates took 15GB of hard disk, HP updates will take 10GB in all.
