Fujitsu Lifebook S Series Inverter Display Replacement

For two weeks, my already used Fujitsu Lifebook S Inverter Display was travelling from California to Berlin. As my old inverter display is broken and replacement parts for this notebook model are no longer produced I had been searching for an already used part, finally on Ebay, offered for sale by Tech Exchange Services in Rancho Cucamonga. The replacement itself took one hour, although I had saved time, if I had had disassembled it completely.  Now it is working properly again.

Driver Installation on Fujitsu Lifebook S Series

WinXPProf installed from a disk labeled DELL missed three drivers first: the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver (included in the downloadable BIOS Flash files from Fujitsu Support&Drivers) Website and two network drivers. Concluding that Dell´s WinXP installation disc can be used for platform installations on a Toshiba Tecra laptop also; seven additional drivers are necessary and available at Toshiba support sites.

Unknown Device/Device Driver/Unbekanntes Gerät/Treiber Update

Updates for Fujitsu computers and laptops are located on their support sites, filed under drivers and downloads. Fujitsu FUJ02B1 driver downloads differ by product/model/operating system, but the files' name is the same. If this driver isn't being installed by a driver update program or the device manager, an ISO image file of FUJ02B1 written onto CD ROM or floppy disk will help.

If it isn't yet recognized by your device, it may be necessary to open one of the Flash BIOS ISO image .zip files after their download and to move the single, unzipped files to cd, disk or to input the directory path to the .BUP file into the OS_System/MS DOS. To install both ISO files (BIOS and FUJ02B1) should activate the FUJ02B1 driver and won't leave an unknown device.
